This is the most quiet this street has been!
This Guanqian street is known for being really bubbly and vibrant! most times you arrive, you’re greeted with a very lively atmosphere. this is because Guanqian street is actually one of the famous tourist destinations In Suzhou.
But as Suzhou is one of the famous cities in China and one of the newer developed cities, most of the people who live in Suzhou are not locals of Suzhou. which means that when there is the Chinese holidays, the city becomes fairly empty.
This was why I was able to see the Guanqian street in this light! there were very few people around and may of the stores were closed. however it was still a nice peaceful time.

A visit to the Guanqian street (Suzhou)
On this chilly afternoon I took a solo trip to this location called the Guanqian street or Guanqian jie in jiangsu Suzhou, China, this street is located in the Wuzhong area of Suzhou, this is a really popular street where many tourists and also locals go to take a walk, do some shopping, have a meal, or visit the temple.
There’s an interesting story behind the name Guanqian street, The street is named for a temple—Xuanmiao Temple, which is on the street therefore the street was then called the Guanqian street which translates to before the temple, hence the name.
There are so many activities to do, so many cuisines to try. and for me I personally enjoy how bubbly and energetic the place is!

As well as being one the best places for a walk in the old town, Bifeng Lane on Guanqian Street is also home to the Gusu 8:30 night market. Whether it's food, drink, or entertainment you're after, you’ll find it here. There are also plenty of Internet-famous snack bars to try. Once you're finished with Guanqian Street, take a stroll down Lindun Road to find Pingjiang Road. There is plenty to see here.

Suzhou Two-Day Tour Guide
Suzhou | Two-Day Tour Guide
I originally planned to play in Suzhou for three days, but then I added Wuzhen and Hangzhou to my itinerary, shortening the time to two days. After playing, I found that the time was enough.
Stay: Guanqian Street Transportation: Taxi, Subway (Suzhou e-travel app)
Day1️⃣ Pingjiang Road️ Jinji Lake️ The Gate of the Orient️ Guanqian Street
Set off at 4 pm, first went to Pingjiang Road for two and a half hours, ate Meiyuexuan plum blossom cake and chicken feet corner. Going to Pingjiang Road after four o'clock in the afternoon feels just right, the sunlight is not dazzling, and you can also take pictures with golden hair.
Then take a taxi to the Jinji Lake big frame, which is a bit far from this place and other attractions. Arrange it on the first night, and you can see the sunset at night. You can also see the Gate of the Orient.
When it gets dark, take the subway to the east gate. Many people squat on the ground to check in and take pictures.
Then take a taxi to Guanqian Street, eat Dongwu Sujinji, his Suzhou-style mung bean soup is great, it is a huge relief from the heat with a mint flavor.
Finally, walk back to the hotel, ordered takeout from Xinzhenyuan because it was already after nine o'clock when I returned to the hotel, I didn't want to queue up, and some Xinzhenyuan stores close at 9 pm. Ordered small wontons, egg yolk paper skin shumai, pan-fried buns. The shumai was a bit greasy, but the pan-fried buns were delicious.
Day2️⃣ Humble Administrator's Garden️ Suzhou Museum (this museum)️ Xiyuan Temple️ Lingering Garden️ Shantang Street
The Humble Administrator's Garden and the Suzhou Museum are next to each other, so it's very convenient to walk together. The Suzhou Museum is free, make an appointment in advance on the official WeChat account. I booked the earliest 9 am to 10 am. But I didn't want to waste time, so I went to the Humble Administrator's Garden first, which opens at 7:30 am, played a round, and found the timing was just right, not too tiring either.
The ticket for the Humble Administrator's Garden is 70 yuan. We arrived at 7:40. Because it's not a holiday, there weren't many people early, and it wasn't too hot. It's really beautiful step by step. After strolling for 2 hours, it was just 9:30 for shopping, and then caught up with the museum opening. When we came out, there were more people. So I suggest going early.
Started visiting the Suzhou Museum at 9:40, it's so beautiful, the architecture is very distinctive. If you're tired, you can rest at the koi pond in the middle, the breeze is very cool. Visited the museum for 1.5 hours, came out at 11:00.
Then took a taxi to Xiyuan Temple, the ticket is 15 yuan, strolled for 2 hours. It is said that Xiyuan Temple is also the Cat Temple. Arrived at Xiyuan Temple at 11:30, just in time for lunch. Ate vegetarian buns and vegetarian noodles, both were delicious. After dinner, strolled around, there really are a lot of little cats and pigeons. The cats are not afraid of people at all, many people are feeding the cats cat sticks. After visiting Xiyuan Temple, it was almost 13:30.
The next stop was walking to the Lingering Garden, the ticket is 45 yuan. Arrived at the Lingering Garden at 13:50, strolled until 15:10. It's not as big as the Humble Administrator's Garden, but the scenery is also nice, very photogenic.
The last stop was Shantang Street. It's not big but crowded. Ate Jiang Laozao. We arrived early, and were waiting for the lights all evening. The lights didn't come on until 18:47 because the lighting time is different every day, so we could only squat. But it was also quite beautiful.
Ate dinner at Hongxinlou, the Suzhou-style dishes were quite good. Back at the hotel, I ordered Grandma's mung bean soup, which didn't taste as good as Sujinji.
The next morning, I took the bus to Wuzhen. The Suzhou two-day tour ended perfectly.
JOELLE WEBB
Strolling in Suzhou: Gong Alley, Guanqian Street, May 30th Road, People's Road
Before the plum rain season arrives, take another walk in the center of Suzhou. Coming out of the subway station, I turn from Ganjiang Road to Gong Alley and arrive at Guanqian Street. After visiting the Xuanmiao Temple, I have lunch at Eunuch Lane. In the afternoon, I walk along May 30th Road to the Suzhou Great Park, and when I come out and see there's still time, I stroll to Yi Garden for a visit, passing by the former residence of Zhang Taiyan to take a look. After a full round, it seems that the content is quite rich.

🌟Snack Recommendations
❶Afu Clay Pot Average cost: 20💰
A memory of many Suzhou locals and a taste of childhood, mainly serving clay pot dishes and fried snacks. The beef clay pot is recommended! It contains super large pieces of beef that have been marinated in advance, making the taste and texture top-notch! The rice noodles are transparent and slightly thick, very chewy! For flavored snacks, try the pork chops and fried tenderloin, you can't go wrong with any choice! Sprinkled with salt and pepper to perfectly embody the savory and crispy taste!
❷Manhao Pavilion Baozi Shop Average cost: 5💰
A constantly queued baozi shop, also a favorite among Suzhou uncles and aunties! The baozi have a nice color (green and yellow), with thin skin and plenty of filling, and a slightly sweet taste.
❸Dumb's Shengjian Average cost: 20💰
A must-try on the list, always in line, some sell out very quickly! Mostly visited by tourists, the signature Dumb's Shengjian (fresh meat shengjian) is recommended, with a crispy outer skin and a rich, sweet, and just right filling (not greasy), and the bubble wonton is also good.
❹Lugaojian Average cost: 20💰
A 20-year-old marinated flavors shop, basically everything is made fresh.
❺Mengzi Rice Noodles Average cost: 20💰
The taste is light, with soup base + noodles + vegetables served separately, and the big pork chop in the noodle bowl is also a highlight!
❻Huang Tianyuan Average cost: 15💰
A rich variety, all kinds of Suzhou-style specialty pastries are available, and the freshly baked ones taste even better! Friends who don't like sweets can buy a little less
❼Caizhizhai Average cost: 10💰
For first-time visitors to Suzhou, of course, buy from Caizhizhai when taking souvenirs back. It is recommended to purchase various types of candies here in Suzhou, to avoid pitfalls!

Just got back! Spent the holiday in Suzhou with this guide! (Two days and two nights edition)
How can one not visit the south in springtime? Only in Suzhou do you realize how beautiful the water towns of the south are.
🚆 Transportation: Tianjin South - Suzhou North round trip
🏠 Accommodation: Hanting Hotel, Sanxiang Square Subway Station
Day1️⃣ Guanqian Street - Xiaojiacun - Pingjiang Road
✨ Arrived in the evening, dropped off luggage and went to Guanqian Street for food. Guanqian Street is like an enlarged snack street, where you can find the food you want to try.
✨ Recommended to visit Pingjiang Road at night, those who want to buy cheongsams can go to Xiaojiacun, where all the famous cheongsam shops are located, with fewer people at night. But please shop around, as most here are factory goods, and the same items may vary in price from shop to shop.
Day2️⃣ Lingering Garden - Xiyuan Temple - Huanxiu Villa - Qu Garden - Yi Garden - Dashitou Alley - Shantang Street
✨ Lingering Garden's hydrangeas are blooming, and the bonsai garden's trees and plants are also very exquisite! If you want to see the garden with fewer people, you must enter at 7:30 am, head straight for the hydrangeas and then to the pond side. After 8 am, when the tour groups come in, you can only jostle to see the crowd.‼️ There is also a hydrangea near the exit in the back yard, where you can sit on a bench and take photos!
✨ Arrived at Xiyuan Temple around 9:30 am, so went straight for the vegetarian noodles and buns. Although there's a queue for the noodles, it moves fast. There are cats in the temple, but friends, please do not buy the irregular cat treats sold at the entrance. If you want to feed the cats, please bring your own, and don't be disappointed or angry if the cat doesn't want to eat, it might be full...
✨ Huanxiu Villa's rockery has been added with support pillars and fences, which may affect the view, but it's quiet and the rockery design is unique.
✨ Qu Garden is free, you can stop by and take a look. Next to Qu Garden is a tailor shop (didn't take the name 😭) selling cheongsams, which I personally think are more distinctive than those on Pingjiang Road. I angrily bought a blue cheongsam, the shopkeeper grandpa will enthusiastically recommend, but the price is high and you can bargain directly!
✨ Yi Garden is suitable for photo shoots! The light is soft around four in the afternoon, and you can keep taking pictures until the garden closes, with fewer and fewer people. The cats in Yi Garden are also very cute!
✨ Old Stone Noodle House can be reached on foot from Yi Garden. It's usually full around five in the afternoon and stops serving at 7:30 pm.
✨ Shantang Street is recommended for taking photos by the roadside, as it's really crowded. If you want to see the night view, you can enter from the nearby residential area to other bridges to take photos.
Day2️⃣ Suzhou Museum - Pingjiang Road - Twin Pagodas Market - Dinghui Temple
✨ Suzhou Museum's main building requires an appointment one week in advance, and you must grab it at eight in the morning. The architecture of the museum is exquisite but the exhibits are not too rich, and you may need to queue for photos at popular spots.
✨ During the day. Pingjiang Road. A billion people! You can walk along the main road for a while and then explore the alleys, you might find unexpected surprises!
✨ Twin Pagodas Market actually has no special features, but I really like the road outside, sitting by the river, enjoying the breeze and watching the boats pass by, that's what comfort is.
✨ Dinghui Temple also has snacks nearby, but had to catch the high-speed train so didn't explore seriously. The temple is small and doesn't charge an entrance fee, you can take a look when passing by.
😍 In Suzhou, the beauty of the south is vividly displayed! How can one not miss the south?

Following the trend was the most successful this time
A real-life version of the Dream of Splendor The most comprehensive two-day, one-night guide to Suzhou
Shantang Street is really crowded
But the sunset and night view are truly beautiful!
Sitting on a black-awning boat is so romantic~
There are too many delicious things on Pingjiang Road!
It takes more than half an hour to walk down one street, all spent eating and drinking
(There's also Guanqian Street, which I think every city has, more or less the same)
Suzhou·Jiangsu
I love Hanshan Temple, it's so beautiful~
It's not inferior to the neighboring Lingyin Temple (remember to buy incense at the entrance in advance, it's more cost-effective!)
The pond full of koi is really stunning
In the morning, you can have a bowl of the famous vegetarian noodles nearby
You can finish touring the Humble Administrator's Garden in about fifteen minutes (not free)
It's not as amazing as I imagined
But it's still pretty good for taking photos
It turns out that the Suzhou Museum and the Lion Grove Garden are on the same route
You can plan to finish them in half a day
You need to book the museum one week in advance! (The picture is of the main museum, the West Museum can be booked one day in advance)
But the museum is really, really, really beautiful and photogenic!
The area selling souvenirs is also worth a long visit! Lots of desirable items~
The old man on Pingjiang Road who paints names is already booked until December ! So scary!
Families, come early to reserve a spot right at the entrance
Soak in a hot spring♨️
If you have enough time, you can drive to Wang Yan Hot Springs
I heard it's the biggest outdoor hot spring in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, and it's really fun!
And there's a pool full of little yellow ducks! So fun you won't want to leave!
Food category :
1. To eat the 'Crab Three Treasures,' you need to reserve two and a half hours
(You can queue up first and then go to Pingjiang Road and the Humble Administrator's Garden, there's plenty of time)
2. There's really no need to go out of your way to buy the siu mai from Dongguan
Took a 40-minute ride to check it out, and it was not impressive at all
3. The three stores of 'Tea Color Misty Rain' are all on Pingjiang Road, but they are super crowded
The photos look good, but the trash cans are full of unfinished milk tea, you know what I mean!
4. 'Overlord Tea Princess' is quite popular, but it's really good
Little Tea Color Delight is truly
5. The six-grid puzzle dish, called 'Xin Meihua,' is frequented by locals, delicious!

This is a very healing city, it's like a mountain forest hidden in the city, with a very slow pace
Day1 Guanqian Street
Transportation: Line 1 to Lindun Road Station
Tickets: Free
How can you not enjoy the ancient town street view when you come to Gusu, with bridges and water, poetic and picturesque, leisurely and carefree ~
If you're tired, the specialty food that can be found everywhere satisfies all my fantasies about food.
The fragrant osmanthus milk tea, please be sure to try this unique delicacy of Suzhou~
Day2 Pingjiang Road
Transportation: Metro Line 1 to Xiangmen Station
Tickets: Free
I like the slow pace of life, and this is the place. The crisscrossing streets, parallel waterways, and the unique design of adjacent river streets, let me deeply feel the charm of the misty rain in the south of the Yangtze River.
In summer, small bridges and flowing water, boating to enjoy the flowers and the scenery on both sides of Pingjiang. Sitting by the bridge drinking tea, walking up to the flower pinning granny to decorate my hair, and taking a few beautiful photos, just thinking about it is already wonderful~
Day3 Shantang Street
Transportation: Metro Line 2 to Shilu Station
Tickets: Free
I truly felt the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty, with boats shuttling, people weaving, and the brightly lit evening, a glimpse of the prosperity of the south of the Yangtze River.
The place of wealth and romance in the first and second ranks of the mortal world described by Cao Xueqin. When the red lights are on, who can refuse the seven-mile Shantang? This is truly the real portrayal of 'When you come to Gusu, every household rests by the river'.
Day4 Canglang Pavilion
Transportation: Line 4 to Sanyuanfang Station
Tickets: 15💰
If I could only go to one garden in Suzhou, I would recommend Canglang Pavilion without hesitation. The vegetation is lush, and the carved beams are as they were. It is the only garden in Suzhou named after a 'pavilion', although not as famous as other gardens, it has a unique and elegant charm.
The trees reflected on the wall, the bamboo shadows and red buildings complement each other, and the sunlight sprinkles on the white walls, the bamboo shadows sway, and the sunlight seems to have a shape. The elegant garden, the pleasant aroma of tea, the bustling street scene, I want to freeze this moment.
In my opinion, this is a very healing city, it's like a mountain forest hidden in the city, with a very slow pace. It is synonymous with the water towns of the south of the Yangtze River, a quiet and peaceful water village, no matter how tired life is, it seems that all worries disappear here~

Suzhou Travel Guide
Here is a four-day and three-night travel guide for Suzhou:
• Day 1: Humble Administrator's Garden - Pingjiang Road. The Humble Administrator's Garden is the foremost of Suzhou's four famous gardens. It is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance and hire a guide. In the afternoon, you can stroll along Pingjiang Road, where there is a storytelling hall where you can listen to a genuine piece of Wu dialect soft language. Pingjiang Road is also the filming location of the TV series 'All Is Well', where tourists can go to take photos. Additionally, there are authentic Suzhou-style sweet porridges in the alleys off Pingjiang Road.
• Day 2: Suzhou Museum - Guanqian Street. The Suzhou Museum is the final masterpiece of the master architect I. M. Pei, with the concept of 'letting light make the design'. In the afternoon, you can go to Guanqian Street to experience the local atmosphere of Suzhou.
• Day 3: Lion Grove Garden - Shantang Street. The Lion Grove Garden is one of the gardens in Suzhou worth visiting, resembling a kingdom of rockeries and a labyrinth, with various Taihu rocks vividly presented. In the evening, you can go to Shantang Street to enjoy the night view of the Jiangnan region.
• Day 4: Surrounding ancient towns. You can visit the nearby Tongli Ancient Town or Zhouzhuang Ancient Town to experience the ink-wash ambiance of waterside Jiangnan.

makes one forget the tiredness of life,
leaving only the appreciation and longing for beautiful things.

Taking a ride on a black-awning boat is so romantic~
Pingjiang Road: There are so many delicious things! It takes more than half an hour to walk down one street, all spent eating and drinking (there's also Guanqian Street, similar but different).

Hot Springs: If you have enough time, you can drive to Wangyan Hot Springs, said to be the largest outdoor hot spring in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area. It's really fun! And there's a pool full of little yellow ducks! So fun you won't want to leave!
Food:
1. Crab Delicacies: Reserve two and a half hours to enjoy (you can queue up first and then have enough time to visit Pingjiang Road and Zhuozheng Garden).
2. Tea-colored Misty Rain: All three stores are on Pingjiang Road, but they are always crowded. The photos look good, but the trash cans are full of unfinished milk tea, you know what I mean!
3. Overlord Tea Princess is quite popular, and it's really good. Tea Yan Yue Se is also nice.
5. Liugongge's puzzle dishes, called Xinmeihua, are frequented by locals and are delicious!
That's all for today, see you next time~

Carbohydrate Special Forces Suzhou Trip - Route Two
Suzhou is really a paradise for carbohydrate lovers. This time, let's try other Suzhou delicacies on a different route, Let's Go 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
🗓Itinerary:
Suzhou Station➡️Xiyuan Temple➡️Shi Road➡️Shantang Street➡️Fengmen Cross Street➡️Pingjiang Road➡️Guanqian Street
Why Xiyuan Temple is included in both Special Forces trips? That's because it's delicious😋. In addition to vegetarian noodles, the vegetarian buns of Xiyuan Temple are also very, very good. After entering the temple, you can go to worship first and then fill your stomach✌️. The vegetarian buns are located in the innermost part of the small path on the left hand side of the entrance. The queue is not short but the flow rate is very fast. The green grass and mushroom buns have a soft crust and rich filling. The green vegetables🥬 paired with the sweet mushrooms are unbeatable. I love this bite❤️
Why is there a milk tea shop this time? Because there is no 100% Tea in Shanghai😭. I was recommended to try the compound delicate face cream drink, which is warm and particularly suitable for girls. The taste of red dates, wolfberry and white fungus is very natural. I hope it returns to the Shanghai market🙏
The only disappointment this time was Fengmen Cross Street. In fact, it is just a local vegetable market with many stalls, but these are all available in Shanghai and there is nothing special. As for the many recommended egg juice big rows, I personally really can't love it. It's too oily, and the meat row is also a thin slice. It's not necessary, not necessary.
On the way, I also encountered a 6 yuan self-service sugar water shop, emmmm it's just the taste of 6 yuan, no need to be curious😮💨
Well, the sharing of the second route ends here. The third one is also on the way. It is expected that the Suzhou carbohydrate series will be updated to the third article first, and then change the place to check in😂

A must-recommend inn on Guanqian Street!
👍Most recommended:
The street closest to the attractions❗️There are various tourist attractions, local specialty dishes, and shopping malls around, which are very convenient❗️
❤Reason for recommendation:
The boss is young, beautiful, and amiable🥰Every time we meet, she will greet us with a smile. The front desk staff is very good, and they will contact us in advance to provide us with a convenient and fast route. When we arrived at the inn, we had a lot of luggage. The front desk guy ran over to help us. The weather was cold and they turned on the air conditioner for us in advance. It was very heartwarming. When we checked out, they sent our family out and told us where to eat and how to take the subway. They provided a lot of help for our trip.
🛏Room facilities:
The room is clean and tidy. After the aunt cleaned it, someone else checked it again before check-in. The smart toilet and shower facilities are very practical. The room is very new and the sound insulation is very good. The mattress is very comfortable and improves the sleep quality. In short, the overall is very good

📍 Guanqian (Chayuanchang Subway Station 2 Southeast Entrance & Exit Pedestrian 410 Meters), Gusu, Suzhou, Jiangsu
✨ After our visit to Shantang Street, our quest for dinner led us to Guanqian Street, guided by my friend's recommendation of a beloved restaurant from her past. Regrettably, we found it had permanently closed. Nonetheless, Guanqian Street, a commercial hub, welcomed us with a myriad of dining options and shopping opportunities, ranging from local gems to luxury brands. As night descended, the street burst to life, offering a lively and vibrant atmosphere. Amidst the hustle and bustle, we also had the chance to explore the Xuanmiao Temple and nearby pavilions, adding a cultural dimension to our unforgettable evening. ✨

Green travel, also called sustainable travel or ecotourism, focuses on vacations that minimize the impact on the local environment and culture. Good green travel companies emphasize sustainable practices over just maximizing their bottom line.
Firstly, green tourism supports local communities. Particularly, responsible tourism generates greater economic benefits for local people and enhances the well-being of host communities, improves working conditions and access to the industry. Secondly, sustainable tourism has a lower ecological impact

wandering all day and hot and thirsty, so came to Guanqian Street to find ice cream, in a row of cards, crying, found in the Prada store heap Haageda Sis. Suddenly remembered that Liu Jialing, who was not wearing a brand-name brand, had been happy to tell people that she was watching the street on the TV show. At this moment, she suddenly understood her voice.
ordered a little prince ice cream cake, it really delicious, in addition to the freezing time, the little prince's body is made of chocolate, frozen to become as hard as steel, when cut to make a flood The force, then watched the little prince's body fly out and fell to the ground... After eating the Haagen-Dazs ice cream cake is very satisfying, is to eat the sweet dumplings, no wonder the cake has not yet served the waiter First drink a glass of lemonade.

Nothing to eat squirrel, squid, crabmeal, small cage, dumb fried, squirrel osmanthus, I heard that it is too sweet, the northern students have a bad experience, may not be suitable for northerners, and I dont like sweets very much, I give up Xiaolongbao is tired in Guangdong, and fried in Shanghai is tired... I came to Suzhou and wanted to eat mud snails. I didnt find it in Guanqian Street. I only bought a roast duck intestines, and I was very happy to eat. .
One of the biggest feelings of coming to Suzhou is that the osmanthus fragrance is floating all over the street. It is no wonder that the ancients Yang Chun will go down the river in March. There are many people in the antique alleys, but everyone is warm and whispered. The cyclists are rushing in and out. At this moment, they suddenly enter the Zen mode, and the pace is also slowed down. Blowing in the face.
Qingshi Xiaolu, the old house and the old courtyard, the old alleys, the miscellaneous shops, the lingering Kunqu from the second-level attic window, the fox yoghurt cat empty bookstore, all of them have the Wenqing punch card, the delicious chicken feet Together they form this unique Pingjiang Road. This is a place where memories will be left as long as they pass by.
fox home yogurt is also recommended, you can try it if you like to eat yogurt, it is one of the famous snacks on Pingjiang Road.
chicken feet are very tender, and the Chinese on the tip of the tongue has introduced this chicken foot. When you put it into your mouth, you will get rid of the bones. The soup is very tasty. It is best to eat it with the soup. You can choose spicy, delicious to the extreme, pickled chicken feet are a bit chewy but spicy is very enjoyable, it is worth a try, recommended. Come to Pingjiang Road, you must try this chicken feet, deep in the alley, open the navigation can be found.
